Ivan Božicevic, kompozitor, orguljaš, pijanista, aranžer i jazz muzicar. Kompoziciju je studirao i magistrirao na FMU u Beogradu (A. Obradovic) a orgulje na Hochschule für Musik u Frankfurtu (E. Krapp). Ranu muziku je usavršavao na Univerzitetu u Salamanki (G. Bovet, M. Torrent). Autor je cetiri simfonijske kompozicije, kao i brojnih kamernih, solistickih, horskih i elektronskih dela. Interesuju ga razliciti žanrovi i mogucnosti njihovih medusobnih prožimanja. Njegova dela se izvode i snimaju širom Evrope i SAD-a, objavljena su na 15 nosaca zvuka i štampana kod nekoliko americkih izdavaca. Nekoliko projekata je trenutno u završnoj fazi, medu kojima se istice štampanje kompozicije Yuku haru ya za osmoglasni hor u izdanju nemacke kuce Schott.

Osim domacih priznanja (Hristiceva nagrada, Srebrna medalja Univerziteta umetnosti u Beogradu), Božicevic je dobitnik brojnih kompozitorskih nagrada u inostranstvu – ArtsLink Fellowship Award, Garth Newel Composition Award, Third Millenium Ensemble Award, Alienor Harpsichord Composition Award, Asylum Saxophone Quartet Prize (SAD), John Clare Society Award, Invitation to Composers Project (Velika Britanija), nagrada na konkursu Hora Praške Filharmonije (Ceška), nagrada na konkursu ansambla Sofijski solisti (Bugarska). Kao autor orguljske muzike, nositelj je dvostrukog priznanja Americkog udruženja orguljaša (AGO): njihove nagrade za delo sa horom i orguljama za 2014. godinu (AGO/ECS Publishing Award, kompozicija Kyrie eleison), kao i nagrade za solisticku orguljsku kompoziciju (2016 AGO/Marylin Mason Award) za delo Moonpiper, koje ce biti premijerno izvedeno na nacionalnoj konvenciji AGO 2016. godine u Hjustonu.

Die Kölner Akademie je jedinstveni ansambl sa sedištem u Kelnu. Oni izvode muziku iz perioda od 17. do 21. veka na istorijskim instrumentima sa svetski renomiranim gostujucim solistima.
Ansambl nastoji da prikaže originalne zamisli kompozitora koristeci istorijske planove sedenja clanova orkestra, kriticka izdanja i pravilnu instrumentaciju za svako delo. Kelnska akademija je primila najveca priznanja kritike za svoje nastupe na velikim festivalima i koncertnim salama u Evropi, Južnoj Americi, Severnoj Americi, Aziji i Bliskom Istoku. Mnoga od ovih izvodenja su prenošena uživo, a neka su snimljena za televiziju.
Premijerno su snimili više albuma sa delima manje poznatih kompozitora kao što su. Njihov komakt disk sa simfonijama Bernarda Romberga dobio je Supersonic nagradu.
Die Kölner Akademie vec nekoliko godina radi na snimanju Mocartovih klavirskih koncerata sa pijanistom Ronaldom Brautiganom za izdavacku kucu BIS. Ovi albumi su dobili veliko internacionalno priznanje.

Belgrade Baroque Academy announces it's 5th edition, featuring baroque specialists Marijana Mijanovic (contralto), Predrag Gosta (baritone, harpsichordist and conductor), with the accompaniment by Bojana Dimkovic (harpsichord) and an ensemble on period instruments.

The masterclass will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from 15th to 21st of February 2015. The program will be Opera Scenes from operas "Orlando" by G.F. Handel and "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart, with a special emphasis on the art of ornamentation and recitativos.

Uprkos tome što se otac strogo protivio muzickoj karijeri sina Georga Fridriha Hendla (1685-1759), on je postao jedan od najpoznatijih baroknih kompozitora. Napisao je 42 opere, 29 oratorijuma, brojne sonate, motete, anteme, koncerta grosa i koncerte za orgulje, a njegova najpoznatija dela su Muzika na vodi, Muzika za kraljevski vatromet, oratorijum Mesija, opere Orlando i Julije Cezar.

Mladi Hendl je u drugoj polovini 1706. godine otputovao u Italiju, gde je naredne tri godine živeo u Toskani, Firenci i Rimu. Utisak koji je na njega ostavila ova zemlja, muzika, kao i virtuozni pevaci koje je imao priliku da cuje, odrazili su se na citavo njegovo stvaralaštvo. Italijansi dueti No, di voi non vo' fidarmi, Quel fior che all’alba ride i duet Ahi, nelle sorte umane objavljeni 40-ih godina XVIII veka primeri su virtuoznog italijanskog pevanja koje je bilo popularno u to doba.

Godine 1724. godine pubikovano je 15 sonata za violinu (odnosno traverzo flautu ili obou) i baso kontinuo, uobicajeno izvoden na cembalu i violoncelu. Medu njima, šest sonata je ustaljeno da se izvode na violini, ukljucujuci sonate u A-duru i D-duru.

Poseban kolorit u izvodenju ovih dela daju istorijski instrumenti, koji docaravaju barokno doba kroz arhaican zvuk crevnih žica i tehniku sviranja baroknim gudalima, znatno drugacijim od današnjih. Konstrukcija italijanskog cembala, za razliku od severnoevropskih instrumenata, takode svojim zvukom približava publici podneblje u kojem je muzika nastala, dok stilsko poznavanje vokalne interpretacije (sa posebnom pažnjom na ornamentaciji) i virtuoziteta u italijanskom maniru predstavlja primer vokalnog stila prisutnog u svim Hendlovim operama i oratorijumima.

Upon acceptance, the candidates will be also given one new aria, chosen by the masterclass teachers, which they should learn by the masterclass. The repertoire list at the bottom is an example of the arias that could be studied.

Method and schedule for masterclass:
- Candidates will have the opportunity to work daily with master teachers during a period of 7 days, for a total of at least three hours each person. Masterclass will be held daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
- First 5 days the candidates will have lessons with teacher and repetiteur or continuo section on baroque vocal technique, style and interpretation, communication, language pronunciation, with a special emphasis on the art of ornamentation;
- The masterclass with culminate on days 6 and 7, when the participants will be able to work with an orchestra and perform at a public concert in the evening of the final day of the Academy, at 8 pm.
- Special effort will be put on the art of ornamentation: the participants will be provided with a sample of the ornamented 'da capo' section, but will be asked to write their own 'da capo' ornamentation, triller...
